Venues Around L.A.
We all want to be the best, but at what price? How much do we give, compromise, sell out—maybe—to get what we want. Used to Was (Maybe Did) is an intergenerational story about the next heir apparent finding their place at the top, and those at the top moving over. Told in the rhythms and language of the hip hop generation, the confident Double D knows he’s gonna win the competition but the young Lil’ Lat’n Gurl comes up from behind and surprises all. A story of achieving fame when few think you can.
