Everyone has a story to tell.

The Storytelling Residency is a year-long program engaging high school students in the collaborative process of devised theatre as they learn to tell a story that matters to them.

Classroom teachers partner with Center Theatre Group Teaching Artists in culturally responsive teaching that includes local BIPOC and LGBTQIA-identified artists connected to the art on our stages and associate programs. As part of the residency experience, participating classrooms will attend a student matinee performance of Jaja’s African Hair Braiding at the Mark Taper Forum.
