About
Auditions are hard; don’t make them harder by performing an audition song you don’t connect with! In this workshop, Tanya De León will show you how to collaborate with the accompanist in the audition room, teach you useful vocal and acting techniques, and answer your questions on how to crush your next musical audition. By the end of this workshop, your audition song is sure to become your oldest and dearest friend.
Tanya De León is a Chicago native who has worked regionally and internationally. Favorite credits include In The Heights at Axelrod Performing Arts Center, the US premiere of Fama en Español & English, and originating the lead role in Somewhere Over The Border. She strongly believes that we all have a story to share and a voice that’s meant to be heard.

About Community Programs
Since 2013, Center Theatre Group has partnered with local artists, organizations, schools, libraries, and other groups to enrich cultural conversations in L.A. neighborhoods and to encourage Angelenos to bring the art of theatre deeper into their lives, and to use it to share and explore their own stories.
Through free workshops, events, productions, discussions, and other activities that take place at traditional and nontraditional venues, we connect with community members and artists throughout our city, and join in and facilitate inclusive and thoughtful cultural conversations.
