Director of Marketing & Communications, BroadStage Santa Monica

Brittany is a storyteller with over 15 years of experience. As the Director of Marketing and Communications for BroadStage Santa Monica, she oversees marketing and patron services. She began her career as a Communications Intern for the LA County Arts Commission (now the LACDAC) and has spent the majority of her career as an arts publicist and marketing consultant for organizations such as American Youth Symphony, Hollywood Fringe Festival, Invertigo Dance Theatre, Brazilian Nites Productions, Towne Street Theatre, and more. Brittany received her MBA from the University of Maryland and her BA in Journalism from CSU, Northridge.

Senior Program Coordinator, Gloria Molina Grand Park 

Carolina Pilar Xique is a multi-hyphenate theatre artist and arts administrator from Los Angeles. A graduate of CSU Long Beach with a B.A. in Theatre Performance, she specializes in devised theatre and has produced works including Dreamers: Aquí y Allá (voted “Best Play” by the OC Weekly), Generation XYZ, and Stitching Stardust. As an actress, her credits include readings and productions with Playwrights’ Arena, Project Nongenue, the Paul Robeson Company, and IAMA Theatre Company. 

In 2021, Carolina received a $5,000 Individual Artist Fellowship from the California Arts Council to develop her play Wilber’s Dream. She is currently focused on writing plays and screenplays exploring AfroLatin identity and Mexican-American heritage. 

As Senior Program Coordinator for Gloria Molina Grand Park, she collaborates with local and national partners to produce a variety of events that engage hundreds of thousands of Angelenos. She contributes to DEIA initiatives, including the LA ARTS standards, and serves as Co–Producing Artistic Director for (un)defined arts collective. 

Kirk Douglas Theatre Manager, Center Theatre Group 

Chase Anderson-Shaw started with Center Theatre Group as an usher at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in 2015. After working several positions within the company, he took on the role of Kirk Douglas Theatre Manager in 2021. He has worked in the LA theatre scene as an actor and director since graduating from USC with a BA in Theatre in 2013. He previously house managed Constellation Immersive’s Discoasis event and previously served as a member of the Culver Arts Foundation board. He is currently studying Marriage & Family Therapy at Pepperdine’s Graduate School of Education and Psychology. 

Resident Teaching Artist, Center Theatre Group 

Estela Garcia is a Los Angeles born native, Estela Garcia is an actress, director, movement coach, deviser, community engagement specialist, mask maker/performer, and teacher. She received her MFA from Dell'Arte in ensemble based physical theatre and was a student of the Viewpoints originator, Mary Overlie. In addition to being a resident teaching artist with Center Theatre Group, Garcia is Movement faculty at CalArts and at South Coast Repertory. Garcia has been a guest artist at Cal State LA, The University of Irvine, Cal State Northridge and East LA Magnet where she helped lead the creation of Ensemble Created Devised Work. In addition, Garcia has led art making, playwriting, mask performance and acting workshops to underserved communities in LA and Orange County.

Director of Arts Education, East West Players 

Jade is the Director of Arts Education for East West Players, where she oversees the Theatre for Youth Tour, EWPlay! (after-school teaching artist program), and Professional Enrichment (acting and writing classes for adults of all ages and levels of experience). An advocate for accessible arts education for historically marginalized communities, she recently received recognition from the LA County Office of Education for her work and advocacy in uplifting AAPI voices. Jade is also an educator, grant writer, and a "sometimes freelancer". She is a community organizer with Filipino Women's group, Gabriela South Bay, where she currently serves on the Executive Committee and spearheads Education. She has an MFA in Stage Management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and an MA in Education, with an emphasis in Creative Literacies, from Cal State LA. 

Associate Director of Content, Center Theatre Group 

Jessica Doherty is the Associate Content Director at Center Theatre Group, creating and producing editorial, social media, and video content for the organization. She is a proud former Center Theatre Group summer intern through the Los Angeles County Arts program! She is an eight-time Los Angeles Press Club Awards finalist, on both local and national levels, for her criticism and arts reporting and was also a Foot in the Door Fellow with the organization. Outside of CTG, she is a writer and editor for The Eastsider, Pasadena Outlook, Alta Journal, Off The Record Press, Luna Collective, Currant Jam, and Crybaby Press’s The Dry River. She graduated from the University of Southern California with an M.A. in Arts, Culture & Entertainment Reporting, a B.A. in Journalism, and a B.A. in Theatre (Fight On!). Patron Services Manager, Boston Court Pasadena 

Jessica Martin, a Los Angeles native, is a published writer and arts professional who brings both administrative expertise and artistic insight to Boston Court Pasadena. As an Indigenous Native American and Latina, her work is rooted in culture, storytelling, and community. Classically trained in Shakespeare with a background in music and dance, Jessica blends her artistic foundation with her professional experience in patron engagement, group sales, and event coordination. She is passionate about creating spaces where identity, heritage, and performance intersect, ensuring that every patron feels both welcomed and inspired.

Director of Learning & Community Partnerships, Center Theatre Group 

Jesus oversees Center Theatre Group’s community programs, which provide opportunities for people of all ages to experience theatre and the arts as a part of their daily lives and explore and share their talents, creativity, stories, and aspirations. He works to increase access to art and broaden the company’s work throughout Boyle Heights. Jesus studied theatre at San Jose State University and was a Los Angeles County Arts Commissioner from 2009–2014, representing the First District. He is the recipient of a Theatre Communications Group Future Leaders fellowship and a British Council Cultural Leadership International grant, and the Latino Arts Network Maestro Award. Jesus is a resident of Boyle Heights and is fortunate to have amazing friends and a wonderful family that put up with all his theatre duties. 

Vice President, Labor Relations and Human Resources, LA Opera 

Jill Boyd is the Vice President of Human Resources and Labor Relations at LA Opera, where she leads strategic workforce initiatives and oversees all aspects of the company’s HR and labor relations operations. With more than 15 years of progressive experience in arts administration, Jill is a collaborative leader with expertise in labor negotiations, navigating issues of employee well-being in performing arts environments, and fostering high-performing, inclusive workplace cultures. Her prior experience in the performing arts includes roles as the Director of HR and Labor Relations at the Metropolitan Opera and as the Assistant Managing Director of the Tony Award-winning Roundabout Theatre Company.

Senior Manager, Foundation and Government Relations, The Academy Museum 

Paula Matallana (she/her/hers) is a Latina arts administrator who is passionate about advancing arts education and equity and inclusion efforts in the field. She is currently the Senior Manager of Foundation and Government Relations at the Academy Museum. With over a decade of nonprofit experience, Paula previously served as Center Theatre Group’s Director of Institutional Grants where she oversaw foundation and government giving, and the Development and Communications Specialist at Impact Silver Spring, a community-building and social justice organization. As a former AmeriCorps member, Paula was a Youth Organizer at Gandhi Brigade Youth Media in Maryland where she led programs for high school students to explore social justice issues through media arts. She received her BA in Visual Arts from Grinnell College and an MA in Arts Management from George Mason University. Paula is an avid reader, loves being in nature, and is trying to make more time to reconnect with her artistic practice. 

Director of Operations, Center Theatre Group 

Peter Wylie is grateful to have had a career in theatre Education, Production and Operations for over 25 years. He has worked at many theatres including the Shakespeare Theatre and the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, and the La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego. Before coming to Center Theatre Group (CTG), he was a dinosaur wrangler for the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.   

Marketing Director, Latino Theater Company 

Xavi Moreno is the son of Mexican immigrants, an Angeleno, born, raised, and staged east of the LA River in the historic neighborhood of Boyle Heights. As a Los Angeles–based theatre artist and marketing professional, they are recognized as a Young Leader of Color by Theatre Communications Group and as one of American Theatre Magazine’s “6 Theatre Workers You Should Know.” Xavi serves as Marketing Director for the Latino Theater Company at The Los Angeles Theatre Center, sits on the board of Company of Angels, and is a Steering Committee member of the Latinx Theater Commons. A founding member of the spoken-word duo Los Poets del Norte, Xavi blends cultural storytelling with strategic digital marketing. Their work spans theatre, education, and brand consulting, with clients including Ford, Vans, Jarritos, and AT&T bringing performance-driven insight to audience-focused campaigns.
